Biography

Education

Dr. Md Saidul Islam holds a Ph.D. in Sociology with a specialization in Environment and Development from York University, Canada. He also earned a Master's degree in Sociology from the same institution. His foundational academic training began at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), where he completed his Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Anthropology, with a concentration in Islamic Revealed Knowledge.

His interdisciplinary academic journey, spanning Islamic and Western institutions, has equipped him with a unique perspective on global development, sustainability, and environmental sociology. This educational foundation informs his research into the intersections of ecological justice, industrial food systems, globalization, and religion.
